New on-farm minerals

We have launched a new range of on-farm ruminant minerals, which will be supplied direct to farm from the manufacturer. The new range takes account of new legal guidelines on inclusion rates.

Although our compound feeds have some of the best mineral inclusion levels in the industry, additional mineral supplementation may be needed in cases where compound feed rates are low, and in situations where animals are trough fed with no facility to feed compounds.

Working with our suppliers, we have formulated a range of top quality, high specification in-feed and free access minerals, which are excellent value for money and will cover most farmers requirements for dairy, beef and sheep.

Included in the range is a FiMLAC milking and dry cow mineral, which contains zinc, manganese and selenium in their organic forms and a mix of copper sources. These are readily adsorbed in the rumen and utilised by the animal as they mimic the form of trace elements found naturally in plants.

These minerals will help maintain the immune system as well as improving fertlilty. Biotin is also included in the FiMLAC range to help keep feet in good health to reduce lameness problems and to improve overall energy metabolism.

Bespoke minerals are also available, based on analysis of your forages and an assessment of the other feeds being used, we can specify an on-farm mineral to ensure stock receive optimum mineral supplementation.
