FiMLAC Q-HS for Summer 2014

FiMLAC_Range.JPGThe FiMLAC Q-HS range of summer feeds has been a great success in recent years.  For 2014 we are really excited by some new developments.

For the 2014 season, all the Q-HS diets are now "reverse-ratio" protein nuts.  By this we mean that the contribution of MPN from the nut is lower than the MPE (just as it is in cereals).  Grazing has a huge excess of MPN, so there is no sense in adding more.  For more information click here.

Novatan.jpgThe Q-HS range now includes Novatan as standard.  Novatan is a blend of essential oils that helps to reduce protein breakdown in the rumen.  The benefit of this is that more can be captured by the cow for use in milk production and reduces wastage.

The inclusion of Novatan also helps to reduce blood ammonia levels (seen as milk urea) that may help to maintain fertility in your herd.  High levels of blood ammonia cause cows not to hold to service.

As well as the Novatan, the FIMLAC Q-HS range includes our unique FiMLAC mineral pack as before.  Further details on this can be found here.

The new and improved FiMLAC Q-HS range is:

FiMLAC Q-HS 105/85 The lowest protein and reverse ratio feed to minimise the excess MPN found in grazing.  The ideal parlour nut for intensive paddock systems.
FiMLAC Q-HS 110/95 A low and reverse-ratio protein feed, ideal with predominant grazing situations with or without small amounts of buffer feed.
FiMLAC Q-HS 115/105 The reverse ratio protein nut, perfect for feeding alongside grass and cereal silage buffer feeding systems.
